Cloud hosting service provider Intermedia has acquired UK-based cloud software startup SaaSID for an undisclosed amount.
The transaction is expected to allow Intermedia to create a security perimeter for clients around their social, mobile and cloud environments, while offering employees the simplicity and ease of use of logging, accessing all of their cloud applications.
With the integration of SaaSID, Intermedia’s customers will be able to benefit from the security of SSO across all of their cloud IT services including NetSuite, QuickBooks, Salesforce and Workday.
Intermedia chairman and CEO Phil Koen said: "With this acquisition, Intermedia continues to be a pioneer in delivering secure business applications and cloud services to its customers and to the SMB market."
The acquisition is expected to support Intermedia’s plan in offering an integrated business cloud application to small and medium-sized businesses.
Intermedia’s services are pre-integrated and managed through its HostPilot control panel that uses one login, one password, one bill and one source of support to offer better cross-services for both users and IT administrators, the company said.
The transaction is expected to expand pre-integrated services by including cloud services.
