Intel has released a new content management system (CMS), Intel Retail Client Manager (RCM) for digital signage solution.

The CMS tool is said to act as an interface for marketing professionals that allows users to create new campaigns, promotions in short time as well as customise content, and control each screen individually.

According to the company, Intel RCM also enables users to create multiple zones within each digital sign and support formats including HD video, Adobe Flash, static image and web content.

Intel Retail Solutions general manager Division, Joe Jensen, said that digital signage is rapidly changing the advertising landscape and becoming a preferred channel for marketing professionals looking to reach customers with relevant content near the point-of-sale.

"With the addition of Intel RCM to our portfolio of retail solutions, our customers are able to easily create and manage attention-grabbing campaigns while ensuring they are reaching the right customer, at the right time, with the right product," Jensen said.

The system can be integrated with the Intel Audience Impression Metrics Suite (AIM Suite), which is an anonymous viewer analytics technology to customise advertisement messages for better impact.

AIM Suite can evaluate the number of viewers, gender and age group and time spent on each digital sign, to customise messaages.

Intel RCM is said to enable the IT departments to manage user access, receive real-time error reports and respond to end-user interactions.

The platform can also be used with the Intel Core vPro processors with Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) to perform remote management and diagnosis of digital signage networks.
