Intel Easy Migration app transfers data to Chromebooks

Available on iOS, Android and Windows operating systems.

Intel has released the new Easy Migration App, which helps users seamlessly transfer data and files onto their Intel-powered Chromebooks.

Using the new app, users will be able to migrate contacts, documents, photos, videos and audio files to their Intel-based Chromebooks. Data can be migrated from a Windows PC or Android and iOS-based smartphones.

Currently being offered on iOS, Android and Windows operating systems, the app will also allow selecting files for custom migration.

Claimed to support all photos, videos, files, contacts and bookmarks, the new app will allow migrating of all local/Hotmail contacts to Google Contact, the transfer of all/selected photos and videos to Google+ Photos and enable users to reacess and resume the migration process.

Intel noted: "This is a one-time sync and will not delete or modify your phone or PC data. Privacy settings for all the content is set as ‘Private’.

"It won’t be visible to anyone but you."
