Incapsula, a provider of enterprise-grade website security for websites, has launched a cloud-based Web Application Firewall (WAF) service.
The new offering is a cloud-based, Web site security and performance service that enables businesses to safeguard and speedup their website, avoid attacks and blacklisting, improve website performance, and achieve PCI compliance.
Incapsula offers support to businesses to manage website security and performance in-house, while enabling hosting and other service providers to extend website security to an entire customer base, and can serve as a platform to offer additional IT services.
Imperva CEO Shlomo Kramer said Incapsula addresses a key market need of a cost-effective, comprehensive, cloud-based security service for small to medium-sized companies.
Incapsula founder and CEO Gur Shatz said adding a website to Incapsula is a simple five-minute process that does not require installation of hardware or software, just a simple DNS change.
"Incapsula inspects all incoming traffic to any subscriber’s website, keeping hackers out while accelerating outgoing traffic, and is suitable for the SMB and cloud market " Shatz said.
"Incapsula is also designed to enable hosting companies, MSSPs and other service providers an effective platform for managing the security and performance of their customers’ websites."
