IBM has expanded its middleware portfolio with the launch of new products, which combines the company’s capabilities in business process management (BPM) and service oriented architecture (SOA).

The offerings, which represent new and upgraded version of WebSphere product portfolio, allows clients to map out and test new and existing processes and strategies by modeling them in a cloud environment with BPM BlueWorks, a set of cloud-based BPM tools and content designed to help organisations develop necessary expertise to build and deploy dynamic processes.

As part of the roll out, the company introduced WebSphere Industry Content Packs V7 that reduces costs and deploys faster with more industry assets, across more processes, and out-of-the box Industry Solution Templates; WebSphere Transformation Extender V8.3 , which deploys new bundled healthcare and electronic data interchange packs; and WebSphere DataPower B2B Appliance XB60 V3.8 that manages and connects with trading partners using new B2B messaging protocol support, the company said.

In addition, IBM’s new BPM FastPath accelerates BPM deployments focused on departmental or contained projects that require significant human interactions throughout the process lifecycle. IBM has also added WebSphere Business Events and Extreme Scale v7, WebSphere Message Broker v7 and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus v7 to address business connectivity.

The new WebSphere Business Events and Extreme Scale v7 enables businesses to detect, evaluate, and respond to large volumes of real time event activity with eXtreme Scale version, the Message Broker v7 and Enterprise Service Bus v7 provides business information across SOA domains with new Service Federation Management capability and open standards support.

Other products in the roll out include, WebSphere Process Server v7 that provides standards-based business process solutions with capabilities for creating, working with and administering human workflow process scenarios; and the WebSphere Registry and Repository and Advanced Lifecycle Edition v7 to ensure business/IT awareness with business space user interface and analysis tools and provide a view of services with Federated Impact Analysis and Change Management.
