IBM releases new products to increase cloud uptake

The new products are aimed at increasing cloud adoption and helping customers analyse data better.

By CBR Staff Writer

IBM has introduced new products to speed up cloud adoption among its customers.

The company has added new features to PureSystems, Power Systems, Smarter Storage Systems, System x, and Technical Computing offerings that it believes will help clients to adopt cloud and get better results from big data, social, and mobile workloads.

IBM claims its clients are looking to use public clouds but want to be able to control them, which has led to companies adopting private and hybrid clouds to manage in-house resources while deploying external cloud services.

IBM systems & technology VP Tom Rosamilia said: "The new IBM Systems and solutions provide superior efficiency and agility to help clients quickly deploy the right cloud infrastructure that best meet their needs."

IBM has also launched integrated cloud capabilities to the C-suite that allows executives to accelerate cloud adoption for business transformation.
