Hyland Software has released new version of its OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) suite with 850-plus additions and enhancements, including offline client, Mobile Workflow for BlackBerry and a workflow integration with Microsoft Outlook.

The company said that OnBase 9.2 provides a working OnBase client from anywhere without even an internet access. The Mobile Workflow for BlackBerry enables users to stay involved in processes through a BlackBerry connection, while the document transfer functionality automates content sharing among various OnBase systems, and allows employees to search and retrieve information from a single point of access.

According to Hyland Software, the additional functionalities include Medical Records Manager Workflow integration that helps patient charts to be assigned to the right person across the organisation. The new OnBase for Meditech offering enhances Meditech health information system (HIS) and make its information more useful to patients and physicians.

In addition, the new release also adds functionality such as document composition that automatically generates and sends documents required as part of a process; and Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard compliance that addresses the specific requirements of the standard by encrypting the physical files and the credit card account values, making the information impossible to extract from the system.

Hyland, president and CEO of Hyland Software, said: Our customers expect solutions that address not only what work is being done, but how it is done. With this in mind, we worked directly with them to develop OnBase 9.2.

“And after spending 40 man-years developing and testing the release, I know that it delivers exactly what our customers want – a bridge that helps them get work done better and faster, no matter where they are or what other pieces of technology are involved.
