HP has unveiled an Internet of Things (IoT) Platform to help Communications Service Providers manage heterogeneous IoT sensors.
The platform also helps operate vertical applications on Machine-to-Machine (M2M) devices, as well as process, analyse and monetise collected data on a single cloud platform.
HP’s IoT Platform claims to offer support for varied smart ecosystems and can be deployed in the cloud environment of acustomer’s choice.
It helps CSPs in end-to-end mobile device remote management including device discovery, configuration and control of IoT traffic, HP said.
Cloud management also cuts down infrastructure costs while isolating IoT traffic from traditional voice and data traffic.
The multi-tenant platform in cloud allows customers to manage millions of IoT devices remotely.
HP IoT Platform also comes with built-in network interworking proxy and M2M/OMA-DM standards compliance, offering low cost of ownership and higher scalability, the company said.
In addition, the company has also released an Energy Management Pack for the HP IoT Platform.
HP Energy Management Pack will facilitate telecommunications providers and their utility customers to offer home automation and energy control systems.
