HP unveiled Cloud Services Enablement for Device Management as a Service (CSE for Dmaas), which the comapny claims that it facilitates wireless and broadband companies to provide midsize business customers with cloud-based mobile device management services.

Through HP CSE for DMaaS, communications service providers (CSPs) can help businesses manage employee smartphones, notebooks and other mobile devices.

CSPs provide businesses with a flexible, services-on-demand offering, through which IT staff can manage mobile devices and PCs through the cloud.

In addition, IT staff can use over-the-air technology to configure devices, distribute applications, diagnose problems, enforce security policies and protect data with full back-up and restore capability, the company said.

HP CSE for DMaaS is the third offering in the HP portfolio and includes HP Aggregation Platform for SaaS, which acts as a mediation layer between the HP Mobile Device Management offering, the CSP’s operations and business support systems (OSS and BSS), and the business customer’s environment.

The company said that to enable CSPs to provide businesses a choice of back-up and restore capabilities, it has integrated the Aggregation Platform for SaaS with the offerings of three different partners: Sweden-based Storegate, US-based Soonr, and a German-based O3SIS.
