HP has released a new thin client solution designed to improve security, performance and manageability for users.

The HP t820 flexible Series Thin Client provides improved performance, graphics with enterprise-level security on the server in case the devices are compromised, lost or stolen.

Features include Intel Core i5 or Intel Pentium, fibre-optic networking, built-in VGA video port and display Port 1.2 and HP Velocity.

HP Thin Clients marketing director Jeff Groudan said: "With the HP t820, we’ve delivered a more advanced thin client solution to give companies the speed and performance required for their most demanding applications."

The company has also introduced support for new NVIDIA GRID graphics processing units (GPU) for the HP WS460c Generation 8 (Gen8) Graphics Server Blade to improve its performance for graphics in virtualised environments.

HP said the HP WS460c, integrated with the HP Multi-GPU Carrier, a graphics adapter card enabling up to eight users per blade, is offers better blade server graphics.

The HP t820 is scheduled to be launched worldwide in November.
