HP has launched a cloud-based mobile management application, HP Enterprise Cloud Services Mobility, which is claimed to allow secure access of applications and data from any mobile device.
The application combines other applications from Citrix and SAP. HP said the new application allows users to configure cloud file storage that can scale up and down, and offers local storage options that address data sovereignty while meeting compliance requirements.
According to the company, the application offers services for secure application access, file storage and sharing through multiple mobile platforms and devices including tablets and mobile phones.
HP Enterprise Services senior vice president Pete Karolczak said mobility in the workplace continues to be a key focus and concern for IT executives. "HP Enterprise Cloud Services Mobility leverages HP’s strong cloud portfolio by providing clients with a mobility service that provides the highest level of user experience and productivity while minimising risk for IT," Karolczak added.
