HP has launched new version of its mobile operating system, webOS 2.0, which enables user connect to multiple web services.
The webOS 2.0 allows users to manage multiple open applications and notifications using natural touch gestures by stacking logical groups together.
Its Just Type feature allows users to start an email, create a message, update status, search for favorite websites before even opening an app.
The new feature is open to developers, so they can integrate with the search function and add their own user-customisable shortcuts, called Quick Actions.
In addition, the mobile OS’ Exhibition feature allows users to run apps designed specifically for the Palm Touchstone Charging Dock, when the device is in charge mode on the charging dock.
The new webOS 2.0 also supports a beta of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 in the browser, and features: favorites; Skype Mobile; Text Assist; Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite; Facebook 2.0; Browser; Messaging; VPN; App Catalog; Launcher; and Bluetooth keyboards.

HP has also introduced the new Palm Pre 2 smartphone which will be available from October 22 in France from SFR and is scheduled to be available in the coming months in the US from Verizon Wireless and in Canada.
The new Palm Pre 2 smartphone has a gigahertz processor and features a 5-megapixel camera, a glass screen and a slide-out keyboard.
