HP acquires software security & services provider Fortify

To strengthen application security portfolio

By CBR Staff Writer

HP has completed the acquisition of California-based software security and services provider Fortify Software.

HP claims that the acquisition of Fortify enhances its application life cycle strategy and enriches its secure advantage portfolio by adding a complete application security offering.

The combination of both HP and Fortify bridges static and dynamic security analysis across application life cycle to help clients reduce business risk against malicious attacks.

HP said that it will now be able to deliver efficient security capabilities for securing mission-critical applications in heterogeneous environments.

With the acquisition, HP will offer a new offering that allows clients to address application security from development through operations, and scale to a centre of excellence program.
