IT services provider HCL Technologies has unveiled a new suite of next-generation data centre services consisting of managed storage service, managed back service, offsite-vaulting services, virtualisation-as-a-service, cloud services for testing and development environment, disaster recovery and mainframe management services.
The company said that these services are based on the ITIL service catalog and will provide enterprises the option of device-based utility pricing. The NextGen DC services will be delivered from its Tier III green data centre in New Jersey, US.
HCL said that it will provide hosting and co-location services to its existing infrastructure outsourcing customers and will also manage and monitor their IT assets along with services including intelligent hands and feet, facilities reporting and asset management.
Srikrishna, executive vice president worldwide head of sales at HCL Technologies infrastructure services division, said: Our new suite of services provide enterprises with hybrid and right-shore delivery models to bring scalability and flexibility in their computing environment.
“Coupled with our globally acknowledged IT operations management services these value-added offerings promise transformational, non-linear management of enterprise data centre assets at significantly reduced costs. These services are also the immediate manifestation of the longer term opportunity for a series of cloud-based services which we see impacting the data centre space.”
HCL’s NJ data centre is a 35,000 square foot Tier III equivalent boasting eco-friendly technologies from technology vendors. It has been designed for systems conforming to the uptime institute’s Tier III guidelines.
