Harris, an international communications and information technology company, said that it is creating cyber integration centre to provide government and commercial customers with managed hosting service.

The new Cyber Integration Centre will be located in a 140,000sqft facility in the mid-Atlantic region that Harris has recently acquired. The company expects the centre to be fully operational by the end of the calendar year.

The company said that its new centre will provide customers with an integrated offering of infrastructure, managed security, and applications and services. It will feature technology infrastructure, including supply chain integrity, and persistent threat deterrence.

Dale Meyerrose, vice president and general manager of Harris Cyber Integrated Solutions, said: Ensuring optimised performance and ultra-high reliability will make our customers more effective in accomplishing their missions.

“This first-of-its-kind centre leverages Harris’ extensive cyber capabilities to solve our customers’ evolving cyber challenges while at the same time adding value through tailored applications and services.

Earlier this week, Harris has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire SignaCert, a provider of IT compliance offerings that provide the foundation for software supply chain assurance. SignaCert’s offerings combine change detection capabilities with custom and commercial software whitelists.
