Hamilton Rentals hires space on erento

How will online marketplace boost Hamilton’s business?

By CBR Staff Writer

IT and AV rental company Hamilton Rentals will utilise erento’s online sales channel to reach out to new customers and expand its presence in the online market.

Hamilton provides short-term computer rental services on PC, server and AV equipment, for one day to two years. Its £20 million rental fleet includes PDA, notebooks, desktops, plasma screens and projectors, workstations, floorstanding and rackmounted workgroup servers, enterprise servers and storage systems. With about 45 years of experience in the market, Hamilton offers products from companies such as HP, IBM, and Sun Microsystems.

John Anton, sales director at Hamilton, said: “We see erento as a very attractive additional sales channel for our business. As the market outlook changes and we increasingly need to drive customer acquisition, our partnership with erento immediately opens us up to its extensive customer base.”

Online rental marketplace brings together the rental companies and their potential customers who want to hire products. Founded in Germany in 2003, erento brings several rental companies under one roof. It has businesses in Switzerland, Austria and the UK.

Erento’s online marketplace offers over one million items across 2,000 product categories from air conditioners, through ladders, luxury cars, and sofas to satellite telephones. Hire companies list their available items and benefit from the traffic generated by erento, while users can search for a specific rental item by location.

Clinton Patterson, director of international operations at erento, said: “Not only does this save customers considerable time, it also generates highly qualified leads for the hire companies, which then contact the customer and close the rental agreement.”
