Hacker group LulzSec said it is disbanding its hacking activities, as it is facing pressure from law enforcement agencies over its brazen computer attacks.

The hacker that has attacked several high-profile websites, such as Sony, Nintendo, broadcaster Fox, and the CIA and US Senate has announced this through its Twitter account.

However, the Group has not revealed any reasons for this decision, urged its supporters to carry on.

The statement published on the website said that the Group’s "planned 50-day cruise has expired", and its crew of six wishes happy 2011.

As part of this move, the group has released documents apparently including confidential material taken from US telecoms giant AT&T and the Arizona police department.

A Scotland Yard and FBI probe into LulzSec led to arrest of Ryan Cleary, 19, from Wickford, Essex, who was charged with hacking the website of the UK Serious Organised Crime Agency.

This decision of disbanding is in complete contrary to the earlier view held by LuzSec which said repeatedly on its Twitter feed that it planned to continue attacking governments and financial institutions indefinitely.
