GSI Commerce, a provider of eCommerce and interactive marketing offerings, has appointed Jim MacIntyre as the company’s new global eCommerce technology products and services business.

MacIntyre, a 20-year technology industry veteran, has served as special technology advisor since May, 2009 to Michael Rubin, GSI’s founder and CEO.

MacIntyre co-founded and served as CEO of Visual Sciences, a provider of real-time customer and web analytics applications until February, 2008, when the company was acquired by Omniture, for $396m.
