GraphOn, a developer of application publishing and Web-enabling software solution, has unveiled the new version of its application virtualization offering, GO-Global 4, which expands the functionality of the GO-Global for Windows application virtualisation solutions.

According to GraphOn, GO-Global 4 provides instant and secure access to centrally-running Windows applications from virtually any location, platform, and operating system. For easy remote access from cross-platform clients and mobile users, GO-Global 4 publishes Windows-based applications over LANs, WANs, VPNs, and/or the Internet.

The GO-Global 4 product suite includes GO-Global Windows Host 4.0; GO-Global Client, available in two client types: GO-Global desktop and GO-Global browser; and GO-Global Portal.

Asaf Doron, vice president of product marketing for GraphOn, said: "GO-Global 4 eliminates the time and expense needed to rewrite existing Windows-based applications for the Web and it’s much easier to deploy and use than complex alternatives such as Citrix XenApp or limited solutions such as Microsoft Remote Desktop Services."

The company said that the GO-Global Windows Host 4.0 Professional Edition provides 64-bit windows support, automatic client updates, enhanced printing and management, performance auto-tuning, and access to local USB drives and printers is now supported.

In addition, it also allows applications to launch more quickly an upgrade migration tool is provided designed to work with the optional GO-Global Portal add-on for centralized management capabilities.
