Google mobile Internet ad revenues to reach $8.85bn in 2013

Facebook is expected to register 333% increase in the mobile ad revenues.

Google is expected to generate about $8.85bn in mobile Internet ad revenues in 2013, a 92.1% increase compared to the $4.61bn it generated previous year, according to a report from eMarketer.

Facebook is expected to register 333% increase in the mobile ad revenues to more than $2bn in 2013, accounting for a 12.9% market share of the global net mobile advertising market.

Twitter is expected to experience 2% growth in its mobile ad revenue worldwide, while in the US the social networking platform is expected to have a higher market share of 3.6%.

According to the eMarketer, Google reported net digital ad revenues of $32.73bn in 2012, representing about 31.5% of total worldwide digital ad spending and is expected to increase the revenues faster compared to the overall market driven by monetisation of YouTube and growing adoption of mobile advertising.

During 2012, Facebook held the second position in the digital ad revenue with $4.28bn, 4.11% of the worldwide market share that is expected to grow to 5% in 2013.

Twitter is expected to register the fastest growth rate in worldwide ad revenues with a 102.2% increase in 2013, which follows the 106.7% increase it recorded in 2012, along with 12.3% growth in total digital ad spending in 2013.
