Good Work in enterprise mobility management for iWatch

First EMM on the watch supports email scan.

By CBR Staff Writer

Secure mobility firm Good Technology has launched an enterprise mobility management app, Good Mobile Device Management for Apple Watch.

The app will control and facilitate management of Good Work email and calendar notifications on Apple Watch, and will provide support to iOS 8.2 MDM controls for the next generation wearable device.

Claimed to be the first enterprise mobility management vendor to support Apple Watch, Good Work will enable users to scan through their email subjects on the watch and see basic details about upcoming meetings.

IT administrators can use a web-based management console to control the content of the notifications.

The app is built upon Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform, which allows businesses to blend usability and enterprise-grade security, and provide investment protection to IT in the mobility landscape, and ultimately help them get ahead in the IoT space.

According to IDC, wearable technology is transforming the enterprise mobility arena with a market of 111.9 million units estimated by 2018.

Good Technology CEO Christy Wyatt said: "The success of secure mobility for enterprises depends on their ability to embrace new devices and enable seamless, secure access to enterprise data without impacting the amazing consumer experiences of the products themselves.
