Good Technology, which makes security software for business use of mobile device, has appointed King R. Lee III, currently director, as the president and CEO. He will succeed Brian Bogosian with immediate affect.

Prior to his position as director at Good Technology, Mr Lee, 69, was president and CEO of Quarterdeck, a developer of PC software. He was instrumental in increasing the company’s market cap from approximately $50m to over $800m. He returned again to the company to lead its sale to Symantec.

During the same period he co-founded and served as the CEO of Wynd Communications, a wireless email tailored for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Earlier, he served as CEO and president of the XTree Company, a publisher of file management and network software products which was ultimately sold to Central Point Software Systems and later rolled into Symantec.

Mr Lee, said: "Good has over 4,000 enterprise customers, including 40 of the Fortune 100 companies and, in the first half of 2010 alone, over 1,500 enterprises have deployed our Good for Enterprise offering to secure and manage their rapidly expanding base of iPhone, iPad and Android device users.
