Fujitsu has launched a new SaaS-based offering for managing and sharing business data between office departments in real time.

The company said that the new offering RapidWeb Plus (RapidWeb+) is designed to work with un-systemised office tasks such as data management of business deals, profit-and-loss calculations, surveys, and other requests, which would involve the exchange of files such as Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

According to Fujitsu, RapidWeb+ allows business data that has been entered and modified by respective departmental managers over the internet to be viewed and shared among affiliated parties in real time. It enables those persons involved to track both the status of a project and any interactions between managers.

Fujitsu claims that the new offering will help prevent input and revision errors that would arise from the transmission of Excel spreadsheets and other related files by e-mail.

Companies can get a trial environment up and running in approximately two days on employing the various business process templates tested by it in its own operations. Even without using these templates, companies can design their own business process layout and launch a trial environment in roughly five days, Fujitsu said.

In addition, the new offering is equipped with the ability to automatically generate web-based displays, and customised applications can be built to suit customer needs and be utilised under a specialised SaaS-based offering (RapidWeb+ Premium).
