Fujitsu said that it plans to open a new facility Trusted Cloud Square in Japan on April 26, 2010, which will function both as a showroom where customers can gain hands-on experience with the company’s technologies, products, and services for cloud computing, as well as a facility for testing ICT systems.
The company said that it has taken its existing Platform Solution Center, which performed testing of the company’s servers and storage products to help build customer ICT systems, and has recreated for the Trusted Cloud Square.
According to Fujitsu, the testing facility is equipped with approximately 300 of its new Primergy, Primequest, Sparc Enterprise, and Eternus products, enabling customers to test out ICT systems with the actual hardware and technology.
The new facility is built on 3,600 m2 space and includes 18 testing rooms, 6 seminar rooms, 8 conference rooms, and 1 telepresence room. It can accommodate a variety of requirements, such as the ability to test Fujitsu’s datacentre-based cloud services platform, SaaS application usage, systems involved in building private clouds, and remote operation over the internet, Fujitsu said.
