Fujitsu has introduced a new tablet and mobile security browser that enables smartphones and tablets to securely connect to a corporate intranet.

With the new Mobile Browser Connection Service, customers can connect to a company’s internal network over Fujitsu’s FENICS II Universal Connect service from a mobile device equipped with a special FENICS Browser application from Fujitsu.

Fujitsu said the latest network service enables enterprise users to access websites, applications, web e-mail, groupware, address books, and other resources without leaving business data and logs on their personal mobile devices.

As a result, users are freed from having to worry about information leaks and can securely browse and update data.

In addition, Fujitsu will be offering the Mobile Content Conversion Service, which converts website content intended for PCs into a mobile device format, thereby making content easier to view and enabling effortless operations.

The service is equipped with advanced authentication functionality, including mobile device identification number registration and a login feature that can only be accessed by authorised users.

Moreover, unlike standard mobile browsers, the service includes a variety of features that prevent business data from being left on mobile devices, including automatic cache clearing and restrictions on copy and paste functions.

Users can connect to their company’s intranet by simply launching the special FENICS Browser application and logging in using a pre-designated ID, making operations very simple.
