VillageEDOCS has received an order from Florida Medical Record Service to address its compliance requirements by using the combined document delivery and content management services offered through VillageEDOCS’s MessageVision Communications and Collaboration Platform.
Using the MessageVision Communications and Collaboration Platform, Florida Medical Record Service (FMRS) is now able to capture sensitive patient records electronically through physical scanning or via secure VillageFax electronic delivery, said VillageEDOCS.
The capture process then activates the automatic index and archive of information into the system’s secure central repository, Questys CMx, providing immediate access to individually authorized FMRS users and to their healthcare provider clients, said the company.
Once accessed, FMRS users are able to search the actual content within documents electronically identify and redact super confidential terms, then re-submit the documents for release authorization, added VillageEDOCS.
Ralph Gogliormella, director of IT at FMRS, said: We needed a document capture application that would be fast, effective, reliable, easy-to-use and simple to deploy. We selected MessageVision’s Questys for our document management/content and VillageFax to provide the internet-based fax solution.
