Fiat launches new Facebook app

Fiat UK has launched a new Facebook fashion app designed to match users up with their favourite car colour choice.

The ‘You Wear’ app scans the last 25 Facebook photos users were tagged in and conducts a personality profile analysis.

Once completed, it pairs users you up with a color-coordinated Fiat 500, based on their colour preferences. Results are also made available online to encourage debate and feedback from friends.

Karen Haller, a colour psychologist who helped develop the app, said the app could help you find out something about yourself you may not have known.

"In today’s world we want to be able to express ourselves, so it’s great that the Fiat 500 range gives us such variety of colour with which we can express our personalities," she added. "Other than your clothes, what else allows you to express your personality to the outside world and get noticed more than the car you drive?"

Elena Bernardelli, marketing director at Fiat Group Automobiles UK, said: "The shade of our customers’ 500s has always been important to them as illustrated when we launched Fiat 500 Colour Therapy last year."

Fiat said users who play the Fiat 500 You Wear contest have also the chance of winning one of 50 shopping sprees or a VIP trip to London Fashion Week this September.
