By CBR Staff Writer

Facebook has introduced new content for its Facebook home lock screen including updates from Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram.

Facebook Engineering Manager Tom Alison told: "Today you can view more of the content you care about on your lock screen."

"When you wake up your phone, swipe through photos and posts from Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram, in addition to Facebook," Alison added.

Facebook added that the users can connect their accounts for the other networks with the home screen to start seeing items from those services on their lock screens. Users can also change what content appears on the lock screen in the settings menu, it added.

Facebook product designer Francis Luu said, "Connecting apps to Home is just one more way to see the content that you care most about the moment you wake up your phone."

The feature is now available Facebook for Android beta testers and the update also includes an improved app launcher.
