Anti-virus and security software company F-Secure has updated its security-as-a-service application, Protection Service for Business, with a new protection feature for smartphones and tablets.
The new release gives protection against malware designed for smartphones, such as billing scams or spy-tools that steal contacts for spam lists.
The new protection service supports the workplaces where mobile devices are used to access e-mail and other business sensitive information.
It also tracks lost devices, allowing users to remotely lock the device or delete all confidential information, preventing costly data breaches.
F-Secure Protection Service for Business will help reseller partners manage protection services for laptops, desktops, email and file servers and now also for companies’ smartphones and tablets.
The new service is designed for businesses who want to buy a security service instead of only technology or software.
F-Secure Protection Service for Business workstation and server products are based on the same technology as F-Secure Client Security.
