Evernote launches Evernote Business in 7 countries

Evernote has extended its services to cater to small and medium sized businesses.

By Tineka Smith

Evernote, which lets a person share individual notes through social networks, IM and email; has now gone professional.

The service will be available for businesses for $10 a month per employee and offers better group sharing and search.

Administrators will have rights to employee Business notebooks, but any personal notebooks will remain private. If an employee leaves the company they are able to take their personal notebooks with them but Business notebooks will remain with the employer.

Evernote Business users have access to the Business Library which shows a collection of Business Notebooks that are accessible.

Evernote Businesses also offers smarter search options and will display results from business notebooks a user has joined when searching on their account. This allows users to see what other co workers know about topics that they are interested in.

Evernote’s browser extensions have been updated to support the new Evernote Business. Web searches will now display relevant results pulled form a user’s account and team member accounts to save time when researching. These results will show up next to results from Google Bing, Yahoo and other search engines.

Evernote Business is now available in the US, Canada, France, UK, Germany, Switzerland and Japan.
