EPM Live, an enterprise SharePoint project and work management applications provider, has launched PWA WorkEngine, a Microsoft Project Server 2010 upgrade that enables users to get more out of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management offering.

PWA WorkEngine is designed to leverage the capabilities of Microsoft Project Server 2010 such as portfolio management and schedule management and extend the same concepts to all areas of business in one centralised platform, the company said.

Organisations can take advantage of all the features that Microsoft Project Server offers and tie it with SharePoint offering, enabling them to manage entire project by connecting WorkEngine to the Project Server platform.

The new features of Microsoft Project Server include project management, resource management, work management, time management, reporting, configuration, and cross platform support.

Teams can share all work assignments, priorities, and critical dates with collaboration tool, to increase communication and productivity across the project through directly accessible Project Web App (PWA) interface, the company said.

WorkEngine’s pre-built site templates enables organisations to speed up their Project Server deployments and augment Project Server’s enterprise project types, enabling them to scale to enterprise wide deployments.

Team members can view and update their activities across projects within one view. Functional managers have the visibility to what their resources are working on within the Microsoft Project schedule.
