Enigmatec has extended the IT process automation to cloud computing with the launch of new version of Execution Management System (EMS). Version 4 includes cloud computing features such as cloud control, cloud cover and cloud bursting.
According to Enigmatec, the new EMS version 4 cloud control feature provides automated life cycle management of the cloud infrastructure. Manually intensive tasks associated with the provision, configuration, allocation and reclamation of resources are fully automated. The cloud cover feature provides automated disaster recovery for the cloud. In addition, the new version also automates workload management for provision of peak-load resource.
The company said that at the core of EMS has the ability to automate the management and control of complex IT application environments. A distributed workflow platform enables deployment of new automated workflows to reduce manual errors and ensure compliance and integrity.
Functional enhancements to its new offering include, ability to create personalised self-service automation portals for components such as catalogue management, infrastructure commissioning, resource monitoring and management, request and approval tracking and service-level adherence, the company said.
In addition, the new enhancements also include multi-tenancy capabilities for multiple independent and isolated user authentication; automated user interface construction enabling expedient design based upon automations being used; and full lifecycle capabilities to ensure effective commissioning , management, control and reporting of IT infrastructure including automated costing and chargeback.
