EMC releases VNXe3150 storage application

The new unified storage system offers 50% more performance and capacity per rack unit

By CBR Staff Writer

Data storage products and services provider EMC has released its VNXe3150 unified storage system which claimed to support private clouds and offers 50% better performance and capacity per Rack Unit.

The company said VNXe3150 unified storage system is designed to support virtualisation of up to 50 servers efficiently.

It also helps entry-level storage customers to maximise their virtual environments with added performance and capacity.

VNXe3150 is a key component of EMC’s VSPEX which offers choices for virtualisation, server, network, storage and data protection for EMC customers.

EMC’s new release supports the move to a virtualised environment through integrations with Citrix XENServer, Microsoft Hyper V and VMware vSphere, providing support in any hypervisor environment.

With the use of the unified storage system in virtualised environments will help customers minimise downtime as well save power bill and simplify management. It also features simplified EMC’s Unisphere storage management interface.

VNXe3150 claims to retain its simplicity for IT generalists in small to medium-sized businesses, as well as departments in enterprises and government.
