Eltima Software has rolled out SyncMate version 2.0, a new tool that helps to sync data among Mac and Windows Mobile devices, other Macs, Nokia S40 phones and Google account. In addition, users can sync data to Online Backup Account.
According to Eltima, SyncMate comes in two editions, Free and Expert. The Free edition allows syncing contacts and calendars between Mac and supported devices as well as Google accounts, or Online Backup Account (50 MB). In addition to sync features, the free edition also allows users to read SMS messages right from Mac, share internet between Mac and Windows Mobile devices.
The company said that the Expert edition offers full access to all synchronisation features. It allows users to sync iTunes and video, iPhoto, Safari and Firefox bookmarks, entourage and mail notes, todo’s, e-mail, separate folders and other data among supported devices including online backup storage.
With Expert edition, users can install any .cab files to Windows Mobile devices right from Macs. It also includes all features of Free edition, Eltima said.
Reportedly, Mac can be connected to Windows mobile device through USB or Wi-Fi, Mac to Nokia connection is available through Bluetooth, and data synchronisation between several Mac computers is available through LAN. SyncMate is compatible with Mac OS X platform (Mac OS X 10.4 and higher) and Windows mobile platform.
