Egnyte has announced its latest enterprise mobile suite.

The mobile applications from the enterprise file services provider allow users to manage both online and offline content through a centralised view. In addition, they can name and rename filed via mobile, receive dynamic notifications and access high resolution thumbnails and previews.

Administrators, meanwhile, can add new users and set, edit or add file permissions.

A version of the application is also available for Apple Watch, which allows users to download folders on their iPhone for offline access and monitor the status of uploads or downloads. A facility to receive event notifications will be added soon.

The apps are available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

"As we reinforce our mobile-first enterprise file services approach, it will be vital for organisations to provide employees with a full suite of enterprise-grade applications for secure access to any content in the cloud and on premises," said Rajesh Ram, chief customer officer and co-founder of Egnyte.

"Our enhanced mobile applications, with the addition of functionality for wearables including the Apple Watch, are able to combine a user-friendly experience for employees and contractors with enhanced security features IT can trust in today’s always-on business environment."
