The acceptance of more and more such devices in a way gave life to dead literary greats’ work, which can be downloaded in these e-devices such as Amazon’s Kindle and the Apple iPad without any charge as they are out of copyright, according to telegraph.co.uk.
Many works such as Pride and Prejudice and Treasure Island are topping the ebook charts due to the proliferation of these devices.
Owners of these devices can download classic novels such as by Charles Dickens and Jane Austen for free.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol and Bram Stoker’s Dracula were the most popular e-books over the Christmas period, telegraph.co.uk reported.
