Double-Take Software has released Double-Take Availability for Linux Version 4.6, which provides businesses with full-server protection and allows users to protect data, applications and the entire Linux system including operating system and application files.
According to Double-Take Software, the product conducts real-time, full-server replication, which protects OS, application and data files to another server, and allows users to recover data on demand in the case of a server failure or data loss. The software also expands support for Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for versions 9 and 11.
The company claims that it provides customers with full-server capabilities, and allows them to protect their entire source server. It has an added management console wizard to simplify setup of full-server protection. In addition, it offers network auto-tuning, and allows for adaption to many different network configurations automatically.
Shaun Sellers, product manager at Double-Take Software, said: “Double-Take Software is the only software vendor that is offering customers real-time, full-server replication for Linux. While other solutions replicate at specific times or when an operating system is down, Double-Take Software performs this important task in real time to provide companies with first-class data protection and recovery.”
