Dingli selects Aladdin to increase licensing flexibility and enforcement

Dingli Communications, a Chinese network engineering services provider, has selected information security provider Aladdin Knowledge Systems's HASP SRM solution to protect its software and increase licensing flexibility and enforcement.

By CBR Staff Writer

To maintain control of its software trialware, annual license renewals and periodic maintenance, Dingli uses HASP SRM software-based protection and licensing to secure sensitive networking equipment, said Aladdin.

According to Aladdin, HASP SRM is a software protection and licensing solution that incorporates both hardware- and software-based security and licensing.

Wang Yun, director of software development at Dingli Communications, said: Because of the high price of our software and equipment, it is often attacked by hackers. In addition to an anti-piracy solution, we needed a licensing solution to strictly control the software and equipment’s evaluation period and ensure that we receive yearly maintenance fees. It allows Dingli to expand into new markets using software-based protection from hackers, and activation and license enforcement for trialware and overseas deployment.

Laila Arad-Allan, vice president of the software DRM business unit at Aladdin Knowledge Systems, said: Arming Dingli customers with instantaneous trialware, remote updates, service and support, Aladdin HASP SRM helps Dingli increase revenue, reduce costs and enhance support. HASP SRM consistently out-performs other DRM solutions with its technological innovation, cross-platform support and business-enabling tools for complete management of the software product lifecycle. We’re pleased to name Dingli as one of our latest HASP SRM customers.
