Open source solution provider Red Hat is joining forces with Dell to create the DevOps Solutions Starter Pack, leveraging the Dell PowerEdge R420 server with Red Hat’s OpenShift Enterprise.

The solutions starter pack will provide businesses with access to solutions and services aimed at making the cloud consumable through a packaged offering. Red Hat and Dell channel partner Vizuri will provide complementary services which will allow customers to build DevOps solutions.

Red Hat’s OpenShift has a strong partner ecosystem, which uses a unique packaged specification to tightly integrate private PaaS capabilities with complementary partner offerings.

Vizuri has showcased its services in the OpenShift partnership by allowing customers to modernise their traditional applications with OpenShift.

Vizuri senior vice president Joe Dickman said: "OpenShift Enterprise can help organisations to bridge the knowledge gap that accompanies initial setup and configuration of DevOps solutions.

"The DevOps Solution Starter Pack was created to alleviate these concerns and enable IT organisations to be more agile and responsive as they chart their path to the cloud while converging infrastructure and making modernization faster, easier, and with less risk."
