Dell has released advanced data encryption security services for Dell Cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Service.
Dell leverages the added services with cloud security applications from virtualisation and cloud security firm Trend Micro to enhance its public cloud services.

Trend Micro SecureCloud provides data protection for cloud and virtual environments using encryption with policy-based key management and server validation.

The SecureCloud encryption application is integrated with the Dell Cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Service, but the encryption keys are managed by Trend Micro and accessible only by Dell customers.
This approach secures sensitive data stored with the Dell Cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Service.

The SecureCloud will also enable Dell to ensure that its cloud customers have access to a data encryption and key management service.

Dell Services vice-president Kevin Jones said delivering encryption and key management services from Trend Micro enables Dell to further alleviate the customers’ concerns while addressing important risks of data privacy, security and compliance with a cloud data protection application.
