Dell has unveiled its new version 6 of Dell Wyse WSM, which the company claims will cut costs and improve IT efficiency, security and system reliability for users.
Dell Wyse WSM sends desktop images and applications to endpoint devices, giving users secure access to content whenever they log on regardless of location.
New capabilities include server provisioning, which will help organisations streamline their server deployment and management processes.
JP Gagne, president at Baremetalcloud, said: "Being able to manage and pool together our physical servers as if they were virtual is an entirely new capability in the market and it has the potential to increase IT efficiency by leaps and bounds."
Other features include Dell Cloud Desktop BIOS central configuration, expanded platform support, shared storage support, Enhanced Active Directory integration and 64-bit support.
Jeff McNaught, executive director of marketing for cloud client computing at Dell, said: "The new Dell Wyse WSM server provisioning feature demonstrates our commitment to making powerful virtualization and cloud computing tools practical and accessible to organisations of all sizes,"
The device, which is now on display at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, is available globally on July 22 through Dell channel partners.
