Deal agreed to improve usability of the company's products.

By Jimmy Nicholls

Dell is partnering with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) vendor ServiceNow in a bid to improve the speed, productivity and the consistency of its managed IT services.

Under the deal ServiceNow’s technology will augment Dell’s existing portfolio in the sector, increasing the services’ standardisation, automation and analytical capacities, as well as adding a range of support features, including a portal, dashboards and various articles.

Neeraj Jaitley, VP of managed services at Dell, said: "Combining the capabilities of Dell and ServiceNow, two industry leaders, further reinforces our commitment to delivering breakthrough results for our customers and spurring innovation in managed service delivery.

"Going forward, we will introduce the advanced mobility, social, and collaboration capabilities of ServiceNow to continue meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers and their end users."

Tom Moore, VP of partners and service providers at ServiceNow, said: "Service management is becoming an enterprise discipline because it delivers business efficiency.

"With Dell selecting ServiceNow, organisations can leverage those efficiencies for IT and help users change the way they work."
