Dell has introduced cloud client computing applications which claimed to give customers additional options who have selected a Microsoft desktop virtualisation strategy.

The new applications are claimed to enable organisations to implement desktop virtualisation applications of their choice deploying sessions or a full desktop.

Dell DVS Enterprise for Windows Server 2012 is a desktop virtualisation infrastructure that enables IT to provide workers with secure access to data and applications while simplifying management, improving data security, control and compliance.

The new on-premises application that aids Dell partners and customers to size and deliver pre-tested Dell hardware components to support configurations over 1,000 Remote Desktop Sessions or up to 600 VDI users.

Based on the recently announced reference architecture, the DVS Enterprise for Windows Server 2012 has been pre-tested and pre-configured with Dell PowerEdge 12G Servers, Dell EqualLogic storage, Dell Force10 networking, Dell ProSupport, Dell Wyse thin clients and Windows Server 2012 server licensing with multiple real-life workloads.

In addition, the new application provides multiple virtualisation modes, including pooled and personal virtual desktops and Remote Desktop Services that are all managed, deployed and configured from the same console.

Dell Wyse’s range of Windows Server 2012 RemoteFX is optimised and certified thin clients including the R10L, the D90D7, Z90D7, as well as the X90m7 mobile thin clients as well as provides users with an enhanced experience, even on low-bandwidth and high-latency connections.
