DBSophic releases Qure version 1.5

Offers automatic analysis, identification and resolution of slow performance issues in databases

By CBR Staff Writer

DBSophic, a developer of software technologies for database performance optimisation, has released a new version of Qure, which it claims to reduce operational costs associated with managing the performance of mission critical databases and increase operational efficiency.

Reportedly, Qure software provides performance tuning of Microsoft SQL server (2005 and 2008) databases and offers automatic analysis, identification and resolution of slow performance issues in databases.

According to DBSophic, the Qure 1.5 includes features such as enhanced UI and additional performance optimisation recommendations. It allows users to pinpoint and optimise the performance of the most resource-consuming batches, improve application user experience and reduce hardware bottlenecks, allowing organisations to continuously improve their databases’ performance.

Hagi Erez, CEO of DBSophic, said: Qure was specifically designed to save DBAs’ and developers’ precious time and allow them to focus their efforts on other critical activities. For the first time, users will have all the information they need in order to locate the bottlenecks and to estimate how much they can improve the system’s performance by applying Qure’s recommendations.

The new version includes an improved trial feature, which performs analysis of the database, and provides a clear view of all database activities, sorted by their resource consumption metrics (Duration, CPU and I/O), the company said.
