IT consulting and services firm CSC has unveiled cloud-based and Software as a Service (SaaS) options for its insurance billing application, Exceed Billing.

The billing application enables carriers to cut implementation and operational costs, expand billing channels, increase payment options and consolidate billing across multiple market segments and all lines of business, the company said.

The Java version accelerates implementation in client data centres on a physical or virtualised stack, or on a private cloud.

CSC claims that its new SaaS tool offers unlimited payment options and processing for all bill types, and allows carriers to consolidate billing processes across all P&C, life and annuity, and health lines of business, distribution channels and policy systems regardless of platform.

CSC Property and Casualty Insurance Division president Jeffery Schwalk said Exceed Billing software offered in the cloud or as a service is a reliable, cost-effective alternative to an on-premises deployment or managed services offering.

The billing application is built upon an open, service-oriented architecture, and includes self-service capabilities where authorised users configure the software according to their needs and requirement.
