CSC has introduced Legal Solutions Suite, as a Software as a Service (SaaS) and has signed Society Insurance of Fond du Lac, Wis., as its first client for the SaaS deployment option. Society is a provider of workers’ compensation insurance for a variety of industries in the Midwest.
Legal Solutions Suite reduces the legal expenses by streamlining and managing collaboration with outside counsel, automates core processes and enables legal or claims organisations to lower expenses, simplify the legal billing process, analyse legal invoices, document outside law firm performance.
In addition, CSC’s Legal Solutions Suite software creates a collaborative electronic workspace for budgeting, planning and strategy, keeps companies better informed throughout case management and helps identify firms that consistently drive superior results
The new SaaS option offers low operational costs with usage-based pricing and an annual renewable contract term to provide maximum flexibility.
Society Insurance will access the CSC-hosted offering via the Internet to improve transparency and consistency in legal matter planning and bill review.
Society Insurance Claims manager William Bunzel said Legal Solutions Suite enables Society to decrease storage costs related to invoice management and produce accurate billing reports in a timely manner.
"By aligning our goals with outside counsel guidelines and using consumption-based pricing offered through the new SaaS option, we are better positioned to control our legal spend," said Bunzel.
CSC Property and Casualty Insurance Division president Jeffery Schwalk said SaaS deployment options present opportunities for companies like Society to modernize processes and increase efficiencies, while reducing costs.
"Legal Solutions Suite is ideal for this new subscription model because companies have the ability to scale up or down easily according to their legal management needs and pay only for what they use," said Schwalk.
