Coverity has released its latest testing platform which the software service provider claims will enable developers to test codes and address security issues more efficiently.

The new version 7.0 is an integrated offering that combines code analysis, change-aware unit test analysis and policy management across programming languages Java, C/C++ and C#, according to the company.

There are now 21 C# analysis algorithms and 17 for and C/C++ that should make it easier for users to find security issues that cause certain apps to fail.

Anthony Bettencourt, chairman and CEO at Coverity, said: "The risks associated with poor software quality and security have never been greater, and the need for development testing in this world of Agile and continuous software delivery is business-critical to reducing this risk."

The San Francisco-based company, which has more than 1,100 customers, said the platform integrates easily with other programmes like SonarQube, the Clang complier, Coverity Connect, Coverity Policy Manager and Microsoft Visual Studio IDEs.
