After giving the cold shoulder to the Windows phone platform and moving to Android, Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC is reportedly warming up Windows now.
Microsoft’s VP of OEM partners, Nick Parker, hinted at a press conference at Computex in Taipei that HTC could renew its relationship with Microsoft, according to CNET.
When asked about company’s manufacturing partners Parker said: "I’d love to break some news here if I could.
"But instead I’ll just say that Microsoft will continue to have a great relationship with HTC. New things are coming, so get excited."
HTC had been an avid supporter of the Windows OS platform in the past and it had released its HTC Radar back in late 2011 with Windows Phone 7 OS.
Later it released HTC 8X and 8S in September 2012, and since then it has remained cold to the Windows phone operating system.
The company’s latest flagship phone is One (M8), which is an Android phone.
There is speculation that HTC’s new phone HTC W8 or HTC One W8 could sport the new Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
It is also rumoured to feature the Duo 3D cameras similar to its HTC One M8 and BoomSound speaker feature.
