Convergys, Sigma Systems partner to deliver advanced OSS offerings

Sigma Systems’ OSS software offerings will be integrated into the Convergys Smart Revenue Solutions Suite, says Convergys

Relationship management company Convergys has signed a strategic reseller agreement with advanced IP service fulfillment offerings provider Sigma Systems. The Sigma Systems’ OSS software offerings will be integrated into the Convergys Smart Revenue Solutions Suite.

Convergys said the combined offerings will provide communications and cable/broadband/satellite providers with advanced OSS and BSS software in both residential and business markets for the design, delivery, and management of next generation communications and entertainment services.

In addition the combined offerings will enable marketing, customer care, and IT organizations to plan for, implement, and accelerate the speed of their transformation efforts, helping enable service providers’ evolution into next generation operators.

With Sigma’s advanced IP service fulfillment offerings, global communications service providers can expand their portfolio of innovative and differentiated revenue-generating service offerings, delivered over any access technology and to any device, said the company.

Convergys Marketing and Product Management senior vice-president Morag Lucey said the partnership brings together two global companies with proven expertise and deployments in business and service transformation.

"With the advent of new video, entertainment, business, and cloud-enabled offerings, service providers have to address both business and service transformation at the same time to successfully expand their offerings and supporting operations systems. Integrated BSS/OSS solutions from Convergys and Sigma will help service providers effectively define, price, order, provision, and bill for services in a holistic manner," said Lucey.

Sigma Systems marketing vice-president Preston Gilmer said with the strategic agreement between Sigma Systems and Convergys operators now have an integrated offering that will allow them to quickly bring new revenue-generating services to market, while ensuring a positive customer experience from ordering, to fulfillment, to billing.

"With the addition of Sigma’s offerings, including service catalog management, order management and provisioning/activation, Convergys can enable service providers to deliver complex service bundles while reducing their operational costs," said Gilmer.

Convergys said its Smart Revenue Solutions support convergent services and leverage real-time marketing innovation to minimise risk, reduce operational costs, and generate revenue.
