Content Data Solutions, a developer of publishing software, systems integration and pre-press solutions, has released its Web Publishing Solution as Software as a Service.
The company said that Web Publishing Solution as Software as a Service (WPS SaaS) is being offered to reduce or eliminate the upfront financial investment required when implementing a content management system.
According to the company, WPS, developed for the needs of news, journal and book publishers, is an application for the creation, enrichment, management and delivery of content to the web as well as other publishing channels such as print, CD-Rom or E-Reader. WPS’s standard editing controls are similar to Microsoft Word thus allowing adaption by users with little training.
WPS SaaS built in automated publishing process allows companies to publish information with features such as future scheduling and expiration capabilities, providing customers with the timely information. WPS’s browser-based system has a built in workflow feature allowing authors, editors and content managers the ability to revise, approve and release documents in a collaborative environment, resulting in a decreased publication to market cycle time and increased employee flexibility, the company added.
